The half-mile-long road is being built on land zoned for industrial use.

Michael Park, president of Park Development, owns the surrounding land.

He expects the road to be completed by November.

by: ISABEL GAUTSCHI - Developer Michael Park and city leaders hope that the construction of the road will attract large industrial business to Estacada.Park and city leaders are hoping the new road and infrastructure will attract large industrial businesses to the area.

For Park, it would be ideal for a business dealing in metals manufacturing, anodizing or the like to buy and develop plots of land near the road.

Such a business could bring jobs to Estacada.

“A 50-acre parcel is a big area. If I land somebody here it will be a huge success,” Park said in an interview in June.
