by: COURTESY OF OREGON STATE POLICE - Two adults and three children were taken to Oregon Health & Science University hospital when the car they were in rolled over and crashed on Highway 211 near Colton.The new year was not off to a good start for two adults and three children in a rollover crash on Highway 211 near Colton around 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1.

According to a press release issued by the Oregon State Police, the driver lost control of the vehicle while taking a curve eastbound on Highway 211 near South Dhooge Road.

All five occupants of the 1991 Honda Accord four-door were taken by ambulance to Oregon Health & Science University. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

All of the occupants had been using safety restraints.

The highway was closed for a period of time after the crash.

Oregon State Police troopers are investigating the cause of the accident.

They were assisted at the scene by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Colton Fire Department, Molalla Rural Fire Protection District and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
