Police arrested Mattew D. Sircin, 32, of Estacada at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, in the 300 block of South Broadway Street on a fugitive warrant from Benton County, Wash. Sircin was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail without bail.
An officer was dispatched to a disturbance in the 200 block of Northeast Pierce Street on Wednesday, Jan. 29. Toby W. Smith, 51, of Estacada was arrested on suspicion of harassment and lodged in the Clackamas County Jail. Bail was set at $3,500.
At 7:17 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, an officer responded to a car accident at the intersection of Highway 224 and Wade Street. The driver of a Ford F350 had struck a Mitsubishi Lancer that crashed into a Toyota truck as it was stopped behind a moving vehicle. The drivers of the Mitsubishi and Toyota may have suffered minor injuries. The Mistubishi drivers wife took him to the hospital. The Mistubishi was towed.
An officer discovered less than 1 ounce of marijuana when he stopped Kevin Lopez Caamel for a lighting violation as he was riding a bicycle on Highway 224 at about 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2. The drugs were seized and Caamel was issued a citation.
Police responded to a report of an assault in the 200 block of Northeast Pierce Street at 9:37 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28. After watching a video of the incident, the officer determined that no assault had occurred; it had just been a verbal argument.
