by: CONTRIBUTED - Following a collision involving a small school bus and a car at the intersection of Highway 224 and 211 on Friday morning, three people were hospitalized. The bus was not carrying any children and the busdriver was not injured.Three people were injured in a crash with a small school bus at the intersection of Highway 224 and 211 around 7:30 a.m. Friday, March 21.

The involved vehicles were blocking the intersection when Estacada firefighters arrived at the scene.

The bus driver sustained a minor hand injury. There were no children on the bus.

Two people from the car were transported by helicopter to Oregon Health and Science University with critical but non-life threatening injuries.

The third occupant of the car was taken by an American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance to the hospital.

The Boring Fire District, Sandy Police Department, Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police also responded to the scene.

According to Sandy Police Records, the car did not stop at a stop sign and drove into the intersection in front of the bus.

The bus driver was unable to stop and collided with the driver’s side of the car.

The driver of the car, an unlicensed minor, will be cited for driving without a license and for failing to obey a traffic control device.
