Estacada Junior High School officials told police that a student had assaulted another student Tuesday, March 11. The case was referred to the juvenile department.


At 12:34 p.m. Monday, March 10, a woman told police the front door of her home had been damaged during an attempt to break into her residence in the 800 block of Northeast Hill Way.


On Monday, March 10, a man told police he noticed a hose hanging out of his work vehicle’s gas tank when he arrived at work. The gas theft occurred sometime over the weekend in the 2400 block of Northwest Campus Drive. The hose will be sent to a crime lab in an effort to discover DNA evidence.

The same day, an officer responded to another report of gasoline theft from a company vehicle parked in the 2400 block of Northwest Campus Drive. The theft had occurred over the weekend.


Following a report of a man in the midst of a mental health crisis, officers responded to a home in the 33400 block of Southeast Coupland Road on Tuesday, March 11. Police took the man into protective custody and brought him to Portland Adventist Hospital for an evaluation.


A resident of the 700 block of North Broadway Street told police he discovered that someone was using his Social Security number after his tax return form was denied Thursday, March 13. There are no suspects.


Police responded to a traffic-crash in the 700 block of Highway 224 on Saturday, March 15. There were no injuries. A “guide” from a table saw had fallen out of the back of a vehicle. An officer was unable to avoid the object and ran over it, damaging the patrol vehicle’s bumper.


An officer responded to a report of two juveniles who ran after spray painting school property in the 800 block of North Broadway Street around 2:42 a.m. Saturday, March 15. The crime scene was photographed and the person who reported the vandalism was given a case number. Police didn’t find the kids responsible.
