An Estacada Junior High school student allegedly tackled and punched another student without provocation Saturday, March 22. The student was suspended and warned against further violence. The victim was taken to a doctor’s office to make sure he was OK. The case will be forwarded to juvenile authorities.


A storage unit in the 2300 block of Northwest Campus Drive was broken into sometime between March 20-22. It is unclear what, if anything, was stolen.


On Saturday, March 22, an officer was asked to ban an 11-year-old girl from property near Dogwood Street and Lake Shore Drive due to issues with other children. He contacted the girl’s family and banned her from returning to the property.


On Saturday, March 22, a citizen told an officer he’d found a wallet near the intersection of South Broadway and Southwest Fourth Avenue. The officer unsuccessfully tried to find the owner of the wallet. The wallet was taken to the lost and found bin at the Sandy Police Department.


An officer was dispatched to assist the fire department with an unresponsive person near Southwest Lake Shore Drive and Hawthorn Road on Sunday, March 23. The officer was told that the patient, a highly intoxicated male juvenile, was being taken to the hospital for treatment.


An officer was dispatched to check on a suspicious person near Southwest Fourth Avenue and Broadway Street at 11:34 a.m. Sunday, March 23. The person, seemingly in the midst of a mental health issue, appeared to be a danger to himself and others. The officer placed the man under a psychiatric hold and took him to Portland Adventist Medical Center.


An officer served a truancy notice to the guardian of two children living in the 34800 block of Southeast Lucky Lane on Wednesday, March 19. The matter is being referred to Clackamas County Juvenile Court.

On Wednesday, March 19, at the request of school officials, an officer served a truancy citation to a parent of a child living in the 800 block of Northeast Edgehill Drive.
