Brennen Etheridge memorial information

Public viewing, burial and church service scheduled for Thursday and Friday

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to a 9-1-1 call at 10 p.m. April 22 in which family members reported that 15-year-old Brennen Etheridge had fallen from a large cedar tree. Etheridge, a sophomore at Estacada High School, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies and detectives, as well as the State Medical Examiner's Office, investigated the circumstances surrounding the incident and determined it to be an accidental death caused by traumatic injuries sustained in the fall.

"He was believed to be alone at the time, so we don't have a lot of information," Sergeant Adam Phillips said.

The accident occurred at the 31000 Block of S.E. Lawrence Road in Estacada.

A public viewing will be held from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at 110 S.W. 1st Ave. A cemetery burial will take place at 1 p.m. April 27 at Mt. Zion Cemetery (31285 S.E. Currin Road). A church service will be held at 3:30 p.m. April 27 at Estacada First Baptist Church (29101 S.E. Eagle Creek Road).
