Ayurvedic Cooking Class

Gwendolyn Shearer will teach an Ayurvedic cooking class from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at Abundant Life Wellness, 386 Broadway St. Ayurveda is the ancient medical system of India, and the class will focus on the six tastes of Ayurveda, sampling different smoothies and learning how to make ghee and kitchari. Good Morning Estacada

From 8-9 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, Choices Insurance and the Law Offices of Joseph Kaufman will host a "Good Morning Estacada" event. Organized by the Estacada Chamber of Commerce, the morning is an opportunity to tour the office, network and enjoy refreshments. Book release celebration

The Estacada Public Library will host a celebration for the release of local author Kathryn Hurd's most recent book, "Estacada Sagas," at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15, at 825 N.W. Wade St. "Estacada Sagas" is a look at the history of the town and its residents.

Farmers Market

The Estacada Farmers Market runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays through Sept. 30, outside Wade Creek House Antiques, 664 N.W. Wade St.

Garden Tour

Wade Creek House Antiques' seventh-annual garden tour is scheduled for Saturday, July 15. Proceeds benefit the Estacada Community Center. Gardeners interested in joining the tour should call Wade Creek House at 503-630-7556.

Old Time Cruise to Estacada

The annual Old Time Cruise to Estacada, hosted by the Route 26 Cruisers, is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Timber Park, 30878 N.W. Evergreen Way. American Legion Car Show

The annual Estacada American Legion Carl Douglas Post car show is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at the Viewpoint Restaurant & Lounge, 20189 S. Springwater Road. Registration is $15 per vehicle, and free for active members of the military with identification. Those who register before Saturday, July 1, will receive a complimentary buffet breakfast. Les Schwab Cruise-In

Aspen Meadow Band Benefit event

The Aspen Meadow Band will host their annual "Summer Finally Got Here" concert and classic car show from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at the Aspen Meadow Amphitheater, 24232 S. Vintage Outdoor Market

Wade Creek House Antiques will host a vintage outdoor market from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at 664 N.W. Wade St. The event will feature a variety of vendors with antiques, vintage, primitive, industrial, repurposed, and handmade items.

Estacada High School All Alumni Reunion

There will be a reunion open to all graduates of Estacada High School from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at picnic section two in Barton Park. Participants should bring a favorite dish and their own drinks for a potluck lunch at 1 p.m. Food should not be brought in glass containers. Estacada High School class of 1977 Reunion

Members of Estacada High School's class of 1977 are invited to celebrate their 40th class reunion from Aug. 25-27 at the Resort at the Mountain in Welches. Activities on Friday, Aug. 25, include a meet and greet from 4-6 p.m. at the Mallard Pub and a social from 6-9 p.m. in the Breamer room. Saturday, Aug. 26, will feature golf beginning at 9 a.m. and dinner from 5-7 p.m. in the Trees Meeting Room. The cost of dinner is $60 per person. Quilt Club

Spinning group

The Estacada spinning and fiber arts group meets from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Fridays at Betty Veveiros CPA, 309 S.W. Highway 224.

Coffee with Firefighters

Estacada fire holds a community coffee at 9 a.m. the first Tuesday of each month at the fire station, 445 S.E. Currin St. The event is an opportunity to meet firefighters and staff, ask questions and learn about the district.

PUBLIC MEETINGS

City Council

The Estacada City Council meets from 7-8 p.m. Monday, July 10, at City Hall, 475 S.E. Main St. Call 503-630-8270.

School Board

The Estacada School Board meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, at Clackamas River Elementary School, 301 N.E. Second Ave.

Spirit Mountain Casino trip

There will be a bus trip to the Spirit Mountain Casino on Wednesday, July 12, for those age 21 or older. Transportation is $20. The bus will leave the center at 8:30 a.m. and will return around 4:30 p.m. Call 503-630-7454 to reserve a seat on the bus.

Free Saturday breakfast

Estacada Community Outreach will host a free breakfast from 8-11 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, at the center. All are welcome.

Dinner, live music and dancing

An all-ages evening of dinner, live music performed by the Classic Country Connection Band and dancing will be held starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 15, at the center. Dinner and dancing is $8, or $3 if you come for music and dancing only. There will be a 50/50 raffle to benefit Meals on Wheels.

Zumba classes

Zumba classes are held at the center from 6:30-7:30

p.m. Monday and Wednesday evenings and from 9:30-

10:30 a.m. some Saturday mornings. Zumba is $5 per class, or $25 for a monthly pass. Call 503-680-4338 for more information.

Dance Fitness with Susan

Exercise to music for all fitness levels on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with Susan Wagner at the center from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Free Tai Chi classes

Free Tai Chi classes for ages 12 and up are held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays at the center.
