City leaders seek feedback about parks
The city of Estacada is in the process of updating its Parks Master Plan, and feedback is sought from residents about parks management, maintenance, improvements and future investments through an online survey. The survey is available at www.bit.ly/EstacadaParks through Monday, July 31.
Cruise-in scheduled for this week
Estacada Les Schwab and the the Interstate Hot Rodders will host a cruise-in on Sunday, July 16, in the Les Schwab parking lot, 140 S.W. Frontage Road.
The show begins at 8 a.m., and judging takes place around 1 p.m.
All registrants receive a free pancake breakfast, and the cruise-in will also feature raffle drawings. In previous years, prizes have included a barbecue grill and power tool sets.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Estacada High School athletic department.

Art exhibition will open at college next month
The balance of being both a career-oriented woman and a homemaker are the subject of Kate Simmons's art exhibition at Clackamas Community College, titled "Slow Cooked: An Interior Monologue."
Simmons, an instructor at the college, has created photographs, bronze works and mixed media sculptures for the showing. It will run from Monday, Aug. 7, through Friday, Sept. 1, in the Alexander Gallery at the college's Oregon City campus, 19600 Molalla Ave. Admission is free.
Simmons will discuss the evolution of her work at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, in the gallery.
Grant supports nonprofit groups
The application process for Clackamas County's Small Grants Program is open through Monday, Aug. 21. The program is designed to assist nonprofit organizations within Clackamas county that provide services to vulnerable populations.
A total of $250,000 will be distributed to local organizations.
To be eligible for the grants, organizations must show that programs can be self-supporting or that the grant is a one-time expense. Projects must help vulnerable people meet their basic needs, such as food and housing.
Recipients of the grants are expected to be announced in October, and funds will be awarded shortly after that. An online application for the grant is available at www.clackamas.us/bcc/smallgrants.html.
