Around 6:38 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, Jennifer L. Phipps, 42, of Eagle Creek, was stopped for traffic violations near the corner of Southeast Eagle Creek Road and Southeast Rivermill Road. During the encounter, police saw her drive her vehicle into a ditch. She was cited for speeding and using a cell phone while driving, and was arrested for DUII and reckless driving. She was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on $5,000 bail.
At 8:14 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, a parent of an Estacada high School student reported the theft of a cell phone.
Around 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, a business in the 400 block of South Broadway Street reported a theft.
Around 2:16 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, police responded to a burglary that occured at a business on the 100 block of Southwest Frontage Road.
Around 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, police performed a welfare check for a party in the 800 block of Northwest Wade Street.
Around 10:38 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of Northeast Sixth Avenue. One youth was taken into custody after a short altercation. The person was transported to the juvenile detention center in Oregon City on charges of harassment and resisting arrest.
On Sunday, Jan. 14, a person identifying himself as an employee of a local law enforcement agency called an Estacada citizen and claimed she had a warrant. The citizen recognized this as a common scam and ended the call with the person before any money was requested. The local law enforcement agency was contacted and advised of the scam involving their identity.
