Ronald Thomas “Jersey” Coyle

Longtime Estacada resident Ronald Thomas “Jersey” Coyle, died Friday, April 26, of a sudden heart attack at work in Oregon City.  He was 54.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Estacada Community Fellowship on the corner of First and Main.

Tom was born Aug. 28, 1958, at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Okla., to Ronald Francis and Mary Coyle.

Tom married Carol Jean Schneider Sept. 28, 1985, in Portland. He worked for Tri County Temp Control HVAC as the shop supervisor for 26 years.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Coyle; mother, Mary Coyle; daughters, Jessica Ann Callier, Nicole Ryan Coyle and Lauren Marie Canul-Coyle; sons, Michael Thomas Coyle and Thomas John Coyle; and four grandchildren.

Estacada Funeral Chapel is in care of the arrangements. Contributions in Tom's name may be made to The Jersey Coyle Memorial Fund at any Bank of the West.

Florence Jeanne Seubert

Dec. 9, 1923-April 20, 2013

Estacada resident Florence Jeanne Seubert died Saturday, April 20. She was 89.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery. 

Florence was born Dec. 9, 1923, in Portland, to William Clayton and Marion (Leach) Silvey. She graduated from Washington High School and The Dalles School of Nursing. 

Florence married Julius Clifford Seubert in October of 1945 in Los Angeles.

She contracted polio in 1948 and never walked again. Still, she worked as a registered nurse for most of her life and headed the central supply at Providence Medical Center during the 1950s and 1960s. 

Florence was an avid reader and loved crosswords.

Florence is survived by her sons, Cliff Seubert and Tom Seubert; brother, Bill Silvey; sister-in-law, Terry Silvey; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
