Powder puff football ends in tie

Game raised money for senior party at the end of the year


by: PHOTOS BY JOEY NIBBE - Estacada senior Molly Kammeyer runs the ball during the powder puff football game, which ended at 21-21.With no overtime in the rules, the Estacada High School powder puff football game ended in a 21-21 tie last week.

The sophomores and juniors scored on a 75-yard run from sophomore Courtney Frasier, an 80-yard kickoff return from Chelsey Parker and a 20-yard run by Jessi Hunt.

For the seniors, the offense mostly came from Madison Haga, who ran for two of the team’s three touchdowns behind a wall of blockers.

As can be typical in these type of games, things did eventually get physical, with three flags for tackling.
