Feldman signs on with Skylights

The Estacada graduate is expected to make an impact at center

Estacada High graduate Megan Feldman has signed to continue her college basketball career at Montana State Northern.

The 6-foot-1 center spent the last two seasons at Clackamas Community College, helping the Cougars to the Northwest title game before falling two points short of a championship. She was selected to play in this year’s Northwest all-star game after putting up 8.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

“Megan is a very important signing for us,” MSU-Northern coach Chris Mouat said. “She comes from a great program at Clackamas and has been very well coached. She knows how to compete and will bring a lot to our post game. She plays extremely hard at all times and her energy is contagious. She runs down a lot of balls that other post players can’t get to.”

She is one of six new recruits to the Northern squad for the upcoming season.

Feldman was a Tri-Valley all-star her senior year at Estacada after connecting on 66 percent of her field-goal attempts.

The Skylights finished 17-13 last season and advanced to the second round of the Frontier Conference tournament.
