A woman called police to report graffiti applied to her fence, located in the 1100 block of South Fawn Street.
A file cabinet was reported stolen from a carport in the 700 block of North 14th Place.
Graffiti was reported in the 1300 block of South Ivy Street. Police determined the markings were consistent with those of a Sureno street gang.
Graffiti was reported on a fence in the 300 block of South Sixth Avenue.
Graffiti was reported in the 400 block of South Alpine Street. Police determined that the markings were consistent with those of a Sureno street gang.
Sunday, May 13
A citizen in the 1800 block of Alpine Street called police to report that they were having problems with their 17-year-old daughter. The daughter was found doing drugs and the parent wants a restraining order against the daughter's 18-year-old boyfriend.
Monday, May 14
A resident near the 1900 block of Alpine Street called police to report loud music in the area at 5:37 p.m.
A wallet with between $100 and $200 in cash was reported lost. The owner of the wallet said they lost the wallet at Walmart on May 6.
Tuesday, May 15
A caller reported that a dog was seen on the roof of a neighbor's house. Police checked in on the dog and found that the dog had walked out onto the roof from an open window, but had returned to the house by the time officers arrived. The roof was not very steep.
A caller reported a pair of teenage 'gangster types' heading toward Heather Street from the 1300 block of South Ivy Street. Police, aware of a gang presence in the neighborhood, responded by patrolling the area and will continue to monitor the situation.
Wednesday, May 16
Police arrested a pair suspected of shoplifting from Fred Meyer around 4 p.m. They had three children with them.
A caller reported seeing a suspicious person in the area of the 900 block of South Palmetto Street around 7 p.m. The man came to the caller's door asking 'which way town was.' He reportedly wore muddy shoes and had spit all over his face. He was described as being a white male in his 40s with a beer belly. The caller later told police that he was ducking in and out of side streets. Police couldn't find the man.
Sunday, May 20
A citizen in the 1900 block of Oak Street called police because he was finding golf balls in his back yard. The citizen wanted the officers to be on the lookout for anyone hitting golf balls in the area.
A citizen in the 3500 block of 16th Place called to report a theft of a tricycle with a 20-inch wheel. The officer taking the report remembered seeing a man riding a tricycle matching that description earlier in the day. The officer later located the man and arrested him.
A citizen called police about a loud party in the 1700 block of B Street. Officers found a children's birthday party in progress. Much of the noise was coming from kids jumping in an inflatable fun house in the back yard.
Monday, May 21
Police investigated an incident with a subject making threats against a school district employee.
Police went to the 3800 block of Pacific Avenue responding to an argument between neighbors over the volume of music.
A window was smashed with a brick in the 2700 block of 22nd Avenue. Cash and an iPod were taken from the vehicle
Police went to the 3300 block of Pacific Avenue on a domestic disturbance.
Police were called to the 3000 block of 19th Avenue following up on a report of a combative subject suffering from PTSD who had reportedly consumed a significant amount of Tequila. The subject was detained by officers and transported to the hospital.
Police looked for a prowler in the 1000 block of 37th Avenue where a resident heard someone banging on their back window.
Tuesday, May 22
Police responded to a call of a man with a gun in the area of Pacific University. Police contacted the man. He didn't have a gun.
Police found a subject at Rogers Park who had a felony warrant for his arrest. The subject was arrested and lodged at Washington County Jail.
Police found a subject who was extremely intoxicated stumbling along the railroad tracks near Mountain View Lane. Officers transported the subject to a detox facility.
A citizen called about a fence being spray painted in the 3600 block of 19th Avenue.
