Walls up on FGHS gym

Concrete walls on the new Forest Grove High School gymnasium went up last week, just in time for the start of classes today. Construction on the new gym and new science classroom wing will continue throughout the year. Other high school improvements, including a new cafeteria and expanded kitchen, were completed over the summer.

The new Joseph Gale Elementary School is also ready to welcome students. Today’s the first day of school throughout the district for students in grades 1-5, 7, 9, as well as new students. Other grades (except for kindergarten students) start tomorrow, Sept. 6.
