Early morning crash injures one person on Highway 47

by: COURTESY OF FOREST GROVE FIRE DEPARTMENT - One person was seriously injured early Monday morning, Dec. 31, in a single-vehicle crash on Old Highway 47.One person was seriously injured in an early Monday morning crash on Southwest Old Highway 47 near Etters Road south of Forest Grove.

The injured person’s name and medical condition have not been released. Metro West Ambulance took the person to Oregon Health and Science University Hospital in Portland for treatment.

Forest Grove firefighters were called at about 1:20 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, to the area where they found a Jeep that had slammed into a utility pole. Firefighters pulled one person from the wreck.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
