Pacific University presents Community Collaboration Awards

Several Pacific University students, professors and other local leaders are recipients of Pacific University's annual Community Collaboration Awards.

Brandon Eddy, Samantha Flores, Nicole Randt and Max Seiler received Student Impact Awards, which honors a strong commitment to civic engagement, diversity and the common good.

Tiffany Boggis, associate professor in occupational therapy, and French language assistant professor Jann Purdy received the Engaged Faculty Award, which honors faculty members who facilitate civic engagement opportunities for students.

Community Partner awards went to three individuals and an organization. The award recognizes the role that schools, nonprofits and government agencies play in providing Pacific students with opportunities for experiential learning and civic engagement.

Adelante Mujeres executive director Bridget Cooke, along with principal Vanessa Gray and teacher Becky Tengs -- both of Forest Grove Community School -- each received the Organizational Commitment Award.

Pacific students have consistently gained valuable experiences in Adelante Mujeres' preschool, adult education, business and agricultural programs, as well as the Forest Grove Farmers Market.

Cornell Estates Retirement & Assisted Living Community received the award for Organizational Commitment. The Cornell Estates partnership provides audiology, dental, occupational therapy, pharmacy and speech/language pathology students with clinical opportunities.
