Annual tour set for June 2 explores some of towns top gardens

From large, expansive gardens to beautiful blooms in small spaces, visitors to the Annual Garden Tour hosted by the Friends of Historic Forest Grove will pack a lot of flora viewing into one afternoon.

Theme of this year’s event is “Gardens of all Sizes.”

The tour is set for Sunday, June 2 from noon to 4 p.m. Garden enthusiasts will meet at the Old Train Station on the corner of 19th Avenue and Main Street in downtown Forest Grove to get a map to the locations of gardens featured on this year’s tour.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the Old Train Station, a historic building maintained by the Friends. The garden tour will also feature a raffle, a peony sale, an “artist in the garden” feature and contests.

Available through June 1, advance tickets to the event are $12 and can be purchased online at historicforestgrove.org. Or, visit the following locations in Forest Grove: Corner Antiques, the Forest Grove-Cornelius Chamber of Commerce and Caffe Montecassino.
