MAY 10 to 11

Sale The Friends of the Banks Public Library will host a fundraiser sale with local crafts and garden art, a wide selection of plants and used books. The sale will be held in Schlegel Hall in Sunset Park, 12765 N.W. Main St. Friday, May 10 from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Plants are coming from local nurseries and gardeners, and will include vegetable starts, annuals, perennials, planters, herbs and trees.

MAY 9 to 11

Sale Forest Grove High School, 1401 Nichols Lane, will host a plant sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. all days. A wide selection of flowers, and vegetables and herb starts. Fundraiser for the FFA program. On Saturday, May 11, a rummage sale benefiting the FGHS Grad Night Party will also be in the parking lot next to the plant sale.

MAY 11

Workshop Jerry Anderson, Master Gardener, will teach a class on square-foot gardening at the Forest Grove Senior and Community Center, 2037 Douglas St. This method explains how to harvest more food in a smaller space. Jerry will demonstrate techniques for easier gardening on a raised garden bed developed for wheelchair users and fold-down trellises invented for easier harvesting. 2 to 3:30 p.m. Free, but donations for the center are appreciated.

MAY 11, 18, 25

Sale North Plains Library staff and volunteers will sell vegetables and landscape plants in front of the Library at 31334 N.W. Commercial St. in North Plains from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds will support new book purchases.
