A single-level, energy efficient, 2,120-square-foot home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms is just about ready for touring at 2645 Windstream St. in Forest NEWS-TIMES PHOTO: JOHN SCHRAG - Forest Grove High School students work hard to put the finishing touches on the exterior of the 2013 Viking House, located on Windstream Street.

Built by a crew of 16 Forest Grove High School advanced construction students, the 2013 Viking House will host an open house May 31 and June 1 from noon to 5 p.m., said teacher Chris Higginbotham.

Complete with custom alder cabinets and solid hardwood floors, the home should fetch a fair price. Proceeds are folded back into the Viking House program each year.
