June 3

n Officers removed a man from a locked restroom at an establishment in the 4400 block of Pacific Avenue. Officers believe the man was using drugs inside.

n Officers responded to Kingwood Street on a domestic disturbance between two 18-year-olds. Instead, officers found two people making dinner who denied being in any kind of argument or altercation.

n Officers checked on a reported ordinance violation with a property owner possibly in possession of a rooster. The resident denied having a rooster and allowed officers to check her home. Officers did locate several hens, which were not committing any violations.

June 4

n Police responded to the 2700 block of Main Street on a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they learned the disturbance was actually a 3-year-old child throwing a tantrum.

n A local care center called for police assistance after two subjects suspected to be high on drugs entered the facility and were being disorderly in the lobby. Officers arrested one of the subjects for disorderly conduct. Then, officers made an arrest for possession and delivery of drugs within 1,000 feet of a school after cash and several baggies of methamphetamine were found on his person. Both were lodged at Washington County Jail.

n A man called police after finding his couch sitting in his neighbor’s backyard. Officers spoke to the neighbor who stated the couch was dumped in his driveway overnight. Neither the couch owner nor neighbor had any explanation for how it got there.

n A woman on Quince Street called police in the early morning hours after hearing “an angry man’s voice” outside her apartment. Officer learned the voice came from the paperboy who was startled by another neighbor.

June 5

n An officer patrolling on 22nd Place near Kingwood recognized a wanted subject hiding in a driveway. The subject then ran. Officers set up containment and called for a canine unit. The man was found hiding in bushes. He was lodged at the Washington County Jail for his warrant, Interfering with Police and Possession of methamphetamine.

n A woman called police to 22nd Avenue to report that an intoxicated subject was in her yard scaring people away. Officers contacted the subject, who agreed to leave the area.

June 6

n Police responded to Lavina Drive on a report of a domestic disturbance. Although no injuries occurred, several picture frames suffered damage.

n Officers responded to a 5-year-old with no clothes on in the 3300 block of Pacific Avenue. The boy was transported home and officers had a chat with his parents.

n An officer stopped a vehicle on Baseline Street near Fourth Avenue and observed a passenger not wearing his seatbelt. When the officer asked for his identification, he refused to give it. The man was arrested and later identified. He was lodged at the Washington County Jail when officers found drugs in his possession and a records check revealed a felony warrant for his arrest.

June 7

n A citizen called police after seeing a man take a box from the senior center and place it in his vehicle. Officers caught up to the man and learned he was the director of the center. Officers allowed him to continue on his way with the box.

n Officers checked on a 2-year-old who was walking around the 1800 block of Tamarack Way. Officers determined the child’s 15-year-old brother left the front door open and no one noticed the child left the residence.

June 8

n Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the Ballad Towne Shopping Center parking lot. A girl and her boyfriend were arguing about a cell phone.

n An officer assisted two drivers with an information exchange in a minor non-injury crash in the Safeway parking lot. The officer then learned one driver had no license or insurance. Citations were issued.

n Officers responded to a call of a hostile and intoxicated resident at an area assisted living center.  

June 9

n A woman reported that she was hit in the face five times and choked by her boyfriend, but refused medical attention.  Police are looking for the boyfriend.

n A man called police to A street and 17th Avenue to report his daughter had struck several parked cars with her vehicle.

n Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the street near Quince Street and Pacific Avenue. The female became upset after finding another girl’s phone number with her boyfriend.
