Got a few hours to kill as summer starts to heat up? Here's what's happening this week at local libraries:

June 26

Put your hands together to clap, sing and play along with Mo Phillips’ Rock N Roll Kindy from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Cornelius Public Library. Children have the chance to write and record an original hit set to the tune of their own hands and feet.

Imagination Yoga will help children ages 2 to 12 learn basic poses; 1 p.m. at Jessie Mays Community Center in North Plains.

June 27

Mo Phillips Rock N Roll Kindy performs at 11 a.m. at the Forest Grove City Library, and at 2 p.m. in the Banks Public Library.

June 28

Professional storyteller Nancy Upton visits the Cornelius Public Library at 10 a.m.

July 3

Slither, hop or crawl to the Cornelius Council Chambers at 3 p.m. for Reptile Man Richard Ritchey’s fact-filled show.

Evergreen Aviation Museum staff will lead children through a hands-on, out-of-this-world experience called "Digging on Mars" at 1 p.m. in the Jessie Mays Community Center in North Plains.
