Banks begins late-start

As part of a move toward increased staff development time, the Banks School Board in March approved a plan for late-start days beginning with the 2013-14 academic year.

Late starts will occur every Wednesday starting Sept. 11, and run through the end of the school year. School will begin at 9:15 a.m. on late-start Wednesdays rather than at 8:30.

“These late starts will provide our teachers and assistants with collaboration time, which is not otherwise available,” said Superintendent Bob Huston.
