Behnke won ninth place for his pumpkin, which ended up weighing 707.5 pounds, out of more than 20 entries.

The largest pumpkin came in at just more than 1,300 pounds.

When Behnke cut it open, his pumpkin’s walls were more than a foot and a half thick.

He came in second to last in the paddle-a-pumpkin race.
