The Forest Grove Senior & Community Center is now hosting Functional Fitness classes taught by Deanne Michaud.

The classes are designed to help participants with their everyday activities to prevent fatigue and injury. They provide a total body workout, designed to help muscles work together for increased stamina and strength.

Classes focus on balance and stability, strength, flexibility and range of motion to help restore the ability to handle the stress of everyday demands.

Participants will use a variety of resistance tools such as exercise bands, free-weights, mini fitness balls, and/or individual body weight in a seated or standing position. Movements are simple and easy.

The center is offering one complimentary week.

Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and are $30 per month.
