- The Banks City Council appointed Michael Lyda and Rachel Nelson to the Banks Planning Commission. Their positions were previously vacant.

- The city council approved a contract with Shaun Pigott Associates to conduct a water rate study, which will help determine a water rate schedule in the next five years.

- The city of Banks donated two trees to the Banks School District to replace trees that were felled during construction in honor of Arbor Day.

- Council members voted to adopt a moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries until May 2015. Oregon Senate Bill 1531 allows cities to pass moratoriums on medical marijuana dispensaries for one year. In the next year, the council will come up with a plan for medical marijuana dispensaries, reviewing the Urban Growth Boundary, land use ordinances and school and park settings. After May 2015, the city will be limited to making time, place and manner restrictions.
