County names Kuyl HHS director


Marni Kuyl will lead county's Health & Human Services Department

KuylMarni Kuyl has been chosen to be the new director of Washington County’s Health & Human Services Department.

Kuyl had been manager of the department’s public health division since October 2013. Her career in health care and management spans approximately 30 years, and she has held positions in Arizona, Montana, and most recently across the Columbia River in Washington’s Clark County.

Kuyl earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing and a master of science in community health nursing from Arizona State University.Washington County’s Health & Human Services Department is responsible for public health, mental health, developmental disabilities, aging, veterans, solid waste and recycling, animal services, emergency medical services, and children and family services.

The department is supported by a budget of $94.6 million and is staffed by 254 full-time equivalent employees.
