Farm bureau gives out almost $20K


The Washington County Farm Bureau recently awarded $19,500 in scholarships to Oregon students.

The bureau gifted graduating high school seniors pursuing vocational studies or career-choice college degrees.

Trinity Shodin of Sherwood High School, pursuing a degree in agricultural science/education; Gabrielle Rosenthal of Valley Catholic High School, pursing a veterinary degree; and Christiania Logan of Glencoe High School, pursuing a degree in nutritional science each received $1,500.

College students pursuing agriculture studies at Oregon State University were given $5,000. Emily Hepler, pursuing a degree in fisheries & wildlife science; Jillian Bradley, pursuing a degree in animal science; and Andrew Schlueter, pursuing a pre-veterinary degree all received scholarships.
