Banks hosts master plan session
Public invited to Salmonberry Corridor meeting tonight
Community members can listen to officials present the fine points of the Salmonberry Corridor Master Plan at an evening meeting tonight, Dec. 4, at the Banks Fire Hall, 300 Main St.
The session is set for 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The master plan is a long-term plan to guide future resource management and recreational uses along the corridor, an 86-mile-long expanse from Tillamook to Banks designed to be a trail, a rail-to-trail and a rail-with-trail connection between eight cities and two counties, according to officials at the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.
The corridor passes through farm fields, the Coast range, fisheries and along the Oregon coastline.
