Oregon State Police now recruiting; Forest Grove wants Police Reserves
The City of Forest Grove is seeking applications for the position of Police Reserve Officer. Police Reserve Officers are unpaid, volunteer law enforcement officers who support the Police Department in the areas of crime prevention, patrol and community events.
Police Reserve Officers learn valuable skills and contribute to a safer community. No prior law enforcement experience is required. Obtain more information, including minimum qualifications and selection process, and apply online at forestgrove-or.gov. Application deadline is 5:00 p.m. January 31, 2014.
Oregon State Police will soon begin accepting applications for lateral and entry-level recruit troopers.
Starting Jan. 17, applications will be accepted by using the State of Oregons E-Recruit electronic application system. The application deadline is Jan. 31.
This recruitment is being conducted in advance of OSPs anticipated recruit school during the summer of 2014. Those interested in applying can start the process now by going to the Oregon State Police recruiting website at osptrooper.com. The website helps interested applicants learn about the application process, clearly understand the qualifications and get a jump on the required entry level testing, to be held Feb. 15-16 in Salem at the Oregon Public Safety Academy.
