Reader loves puns in News-Times’ headlines

Although we have moved from Forest Grove, our home for 47 years, we still receive the News-Times in the mail. I was really pleased to see a couple of great puns in the June 11 edition.

The first, “25 years of making a reel difference,” about a fishing program. I call this an “FPP” (Front Page Pun), so you get bonus points for that. On Page 2, another good one: “Leadership institute clocks in with human-sundial idea for Forest Grove.”

A newspaper should not only inform, but also entertain. The News-Times does both. Congratulations to your excellent headline writer.

P.S.: I do believe I have the largest pun collection in the world ... 10 photo albums worth. Leave no pun behind.
