2010 Outstanding High School Business Educator Awards


The Portland Tribune and Community Newspapers and the OSU College of Business are seeking nominations for the 2010 Outstanding High School Business Educator Awards. The awards will recognize five educators who improve student achievement, use innovative and exemplary instructional strategies, and enhance student learning of business concepts.

Criteria: Nominee must be a high school business educator (teacher, advisor, or administrator) in Oregon or Clark County, Washington with at least two years of experience as an educator.

Recognition: $500 cash prize and recognition at the College of Business' 2010 Alumni & Business Partner Awards dinner on May 6, 2010 at the Governor Hotel in Portland.

Submission: Submit nominations online at www.portlandtribune.com/forms/educator_award.php or by mail to Sue Curran, The Portland Tribune, 6605 S.E. Lake Road, Portland, OR 97222.

Deadline: Nominations must be received by April 9, 2010.

  3. Academic training alone is no longer enough in today's competitive global marketplace. Describe any programs, activities, or strategies used by the nominee within or outside the classroom that contribute to preparing students for life-long achievement in their chosen business profession. •
