A Fairview man was arrested Wednesday, July 11, for allegedly robbing a bank in Casper, Wyo.

Branden Mason Bayne, 42, was charged with the robbery of a Bank of the West branch on Wednesday in eastern Casper, according to a news article on K2 Radio in Wyoming.

The suspect, who reportedly claimed to have a gun, left the bank with almost $4,000 in cash.

Police arrested the suspect about an hour later after searching the area and the vehicle involved in the robbery. Police were unable to find the money.

Bayne is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday, July 18, in Cheyenne. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison.
