Threat sends hospital into lockdown

Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center was on lockdown for a brief time Thursday afternoon following a reported threat.

Gresham Police Chief Craig Junginger said a woman called the hospital, located in the 24800 block of Southeast Stark Street, unhappy about how her boyfriend was treated. So she “threatened to come shoot the place up,” he said. While police got to work identifying the caller, the hospital went into a level-two lockdown sometime around 4 p.m. This means that Gresham police were stationed at the emergency room door checking everyone going in and out, said Alisa Cour, a Legacy spokeswoman.

Junginger said the lock down came to an end at about 4:45 p.m.
