238th Drive to close Oct. 25

A section of Northeast 238th Drive in Wood Village is scheduled to close at 7 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, to allow a contractor to complete a safety improvement project.

The improvements are near the bottom of a steep hill. The project will widen the northbound traffic lane, shift the sidewalk to the east and remove vegetation to improve sightlines for travelers.

Alternative north-south arterial routes for through traffic include Northeast 223rd Avenue and Northeast 257th Drive, via Northeast Halsey Street and Northeast Glisan Street/Cherry Park Road.

Local access will be provided to residences, businesses and emergency vehicles at all times.
