Boy accused of double stabbing in Rosewood


A 16-year-old boy is in juvenile detention accused of stabbing a man and a woman in the Rosewood area.

Portland Police Bureau detectives arrested Fernando Carrillo, 16, on an allegation of assault on the evening of Saturday, Oct. 27. He is lodged at the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Home in Northeast Portland.

Police responded to a reported stabbing at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, of a man and woman in the 600 block of Southeast 162nd Avenue, said Lt. Robert King, Portland police spokesman.

Both were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives surrounded the area and brought in a canine officer to search for the suspect, who was found and arrested a short time later.
