Quinby, Tlustos-Arnold lead in tight Fairview City Council races

As of Thursday night, the races for Position 6 and Position 2 of the Fairview City Council were still tightly contested, with Ken Quinby and Tamie Tlustos-Arnold in the lead by narrow margins in unofficial results.

In the race for Position 2, Quinby held the lead at 49.78 percent, or 1,272 votes, ahead of Barbara Jones with 49.24 percent, or 1,258 votes. A difference of 14 votes.

Tamie Tlustos-Arnold leads for Position 6 with 49.96 percent, or 1,231 votes, ahead of Brian Cooper at 48.90 percent, or 1,205 votes. A difference of 26 votes.

Dan Kreamier carried 55.06 percent of the vote in the race for Position 1 against Leslie Moore. Steve Prom was uncontested in his race for Position 3.

A spokeman for the Multnomah County Elections Office said some ballots are yet to be counted, and he expects some of those may involve races in Fairview.

While the remaining uncounted ballots are unlikely to change the outcome of the races, it's still too close to call. Multnomah County will release another round of revised results at 5 p.m. Friday.
