TUESDAY, DEC. 4

An Evening at the Zimmerman House — 4-8 p.m. at 17111 N.E. Sandy Blvd., Gresham. The historic Zimmerman House was built in 1874 and was home to three generations of the Zimmerman Family. Their furnishings and personal articles remain in this two-story Victorian home. During the second evening tour, the Zimmerman House will feature carols around the parlor piano, family recipes on exhibit and ginger snap cookies made from a family recipe. Beer tasting — 6-8 p.m., Hoppy Brewer, 328 N. Main, Gresham. A sampling of Widmer Bourbon Barrel-aged Brrr released the past three years. Tasting fee is $10. For information, call 503-328-8474.

Italian Small Vineyards Wine Tasting — 5-9 p.m., Allegri Wine Shop and Art Gallery, 44 N. Main Ave., Gresham. Ten percent of Kathy Allegri’s annual art sale will be donated to Human Solutions’ Homeless Families Project. The tasting is $12. Call 503-465-1841 for information.

Troutdale tree lighting — 5-9 p.m., Mayor’s Square and Historic Downtown Troutdale. A free and family friendly event with entertainment and refreshments. Bring nonperishable food, blankets and cash donations for SnowCap Community Charities.

First Friday book signings with Troutdale Historical Society — 5-8 p.m., 104 S.E. Kibling, Troutdale. Six local authors, Sharon Nesbit, Julie Stewart, Chuck Rollins, Clarence Mershon, Tom Cowling and Joe Schwab, will sign their books that are for sale in the Depot store. Live music by Swingahli, wine tasting and free gift wrapping of all purchases.

SATURDAY, DEC. 8

Singing Christmas Tree — 11:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Gresham Senior Center, 600 N.E. Eighth St., Gresham. Seniors are invited to fill a bus to Vancouver for the Singing Christmas Tree at First Church of God in Vancouver, Wash. The price is $12 plus two food items for people in need. Neighborhood Greening Exchange, East Portland Audubon — 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Ventura Park Elementary School. Current and aspiring greenspace advocates are invited to discuss community-driven greenspace projects in the Portland-metro region. Presentations and a lunchtime screening of a local advocacy film on the Kellogg-to-Coho project in Milwaukie. Lunch and snacks provided for a $5 entry. Childcare and Spanish translation available.
