Mount Hood Christian Center gets new pastor

Mount Hood Christian Center is welcoming its new pastor, Ioannis (pronounced Yani) Gratsinopolis, and his wife, Erica, to the church.

Gratsinopolis will be installed as senior pastor at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 14, during the Sunday morning service. Boyd Powers, lead pastor of administration and missions from the Oregon Network office of the Assemblies of God, will preside and speak at the installation.

Gratsinopolis is a graduate of Bethany University’s School of the Bible in Scotts Valley, Calif., where he earned a bachelor’s degree in church leadership with a minor in psychology.

In 2000, he was credentialed with the Assemblies of God and ordained in 2011.

He has previously served other congregations as a worship leader, youth pastor and senior associate pastor.

The church is at 2500 S.E. Palmblad Road, Gresham.

Join a children’s play group

Pleasant Home United Methodist Church is holding “Little Ones Play Group,” a free opportunity for children to play with toys, create art and play outdoors, from 9-10:30 a.m. every Wednesday, beginning July 10.

The summer activity will run through the end of August. Parents and adult care givers stay with children during the activity.
