Twenty-five billboards, each featuring four cold homicide cases, are up across the Portland-metro area.

Two of the billboards are in Gresham with another in Wood Village.

Portland Police Bureau's Cold Case Homicide Unit and Clear Channel Communications collaborated to create the billboards, which will draw attention to 100 cases citywide.

The cold case unit is composed of a sergeant and four detectives who are assisted by several retired investigators who volunteer their time and are working under a federal grant sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice and the National Institute for Justice.

The Portland Police Bureau has nearly 300 unsolved murders dating back to 1969.
