Free Glaucoma and Eye Disease Screenings - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center, Front Lobby, 24988 S.E. Stark St. Devers Eye Institute will conduct free screenings for glaucoma and other serious eye diseases. No appointment is required, and everyone is welcome to attend.

Friday Night Basketball - 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Walt Morey Middle School, 2801 S.W. Lucas Drive, Troutdale. Free basketball games for ages 12 to 17; sponsored by Troutdale Recreation and supervised by Troutdale police. Participants must bring photo identification and be dressed to play.


Elks Got Talent Show and Dinner - 6 p.m., Gresham Elks Lodge, 3330 N.E. Division St. The Gresham Elks Club is hosting a dinner from 6 to 7 p.m. and a talent show at 7:30 p.m. The talent show features a variety of acts, including dancing, songs, comedy, skits and lip-synching. Audience members are encouraged to donate money to their favorite performing group; the group who raises the most money will be the winner. The dinner and talent show is $12; admission to just the talent show is $3. All money raised will go to the Elks' scholarship fund, which funds scholarships for seven Gresham-area high school students.
