Soldier surprises son at school upon return from Afghanistan
Jeremy Sneed, a sixth-grader at H.B. Lee Middle School, has a happy reunion with his stepfather, Army Spc. William Lacey, during Lacey's surprise visit at school Monday morning, Jan. 23.
Lacey, who's holding his youngest son, Cole, 16 months, has been away for a year while serving in Afghanistan. His wife - Jeremy's mom, Beth Lacey, shown at right - arranged the surprise visit with the school. Afterward, they were going to pop in on their other son, Jacob, a first-grader at Wilkes Elementary School.
