Portland police have been looking for Dalia Mauro-Contreras since she ran away from her Portland foster home on June 4.

Earlier tips from the public have included she may have been seen near Southeast 160th Avenue and Glisan Street, as well as the Orenco Station MAX/Transit Center, in the Hillsboro area, said Sgt. Pete Simpson, Portland Police Bureau spokesman. But none of the reported sightings has been able to be verified.

Detectives believe that she may have run away to be with 28-year-old Richer Gabriel Martin-Gongora, a family acquaintance, whose whereabouts are also unknown. Early in the investigation, police contacted Martin-Gongora, who was cooperative but since then, detectives have been unable to locate him again.

"At this time, Martin-Gongora is not considered a suspect in any crime," Simpson said, adding that there is no evidence of foul play. But detectives still want to contact Martin-Gongora for more information about the case.

Dalia is described as a 15-year-old Hispanic girl, who is 5 foot tall, 105 pounds with shoulder-length dark brown hair, brown eyes and a notable mole on the lower right side of her nose.

Martin-Gongora is described as a 5-foot tall, 150-pound, 28-year-old Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes. He has been described as sometimes being clean-shaven or having a full mustache and beard, but recently has been seen wearing a goatee. There is no available vehicle description.

Anyone with information about either of them or where they are should immediately call 911.
