Comment on county stormwater management

All residents of Multnomah County are invited to review and comment on the county’s annual report on its stormwater management plan.

The county is responsible for stormwater management on county-owned roadways in Troutdale, Wood Village and Fairview, the county-owned Willamette River bridges and urban pockets of unincorporated Multnomah County. The stormwater management plan is designed to minimize the impact from roadways, development and county operations on water quality.

The plan consists of seven categories of best management practices that provide a comprehensive approach to reduce stormwater pollution. These include activities such as catch basin cleaning, street sweeping, public education, land-use permitting and capital improvements.

The draft 2013 annual report is available online at web.multco.us/roads/water-quality-program. It summarizes activities for the permit year ending June 30, 2013.

Written public comments can be submitted through Oct. 18 to the Water Quality Program at This email address is being protected from spambots.
