A man armed with a shotgun robbed an auto parts store in outer Southeast Portland on Tuesday night.

Officers with the Portland Police Bureau's East Precinct responded to a 7:41 p.m. report of an armed robbery at the Baxter Auto Parts in the 16700 block of Southeast Division Street, said Sgt. Pete Simpson, bureau spokesman.

Police contacted employees who said the suspect entered the store armed with a shotgun and demanded money. The man left with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen walking eastbound on Division Street.

Officers, including a police dog, searched the area but did not find anyone matching the suspect's description.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man who is 30 to 40 years old, 5-foot-10-inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a camouflage jacket and pants.
