Special election ballots in the mail

Multnomah County voters in the Gresham-Barlow and Corbett school districts who did not receive a ballot for the Nov. 5 special election by Thursday, Oct. 24, should call the county elections office at 503-988-3720.

Only voters in those districts with measures on the ballot will receive ballots for the November special election.

The U.S. Postal Service began mailing ballots in those districts Friday, Oct. 18, so all registered voters in those districts should have received a ballot by now, said Henry Stern, the county’s public affairs coordinator.

Ballots must be received by 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5. They can be mailed to the elections office or placed in official drop boxes 24 hours a day until 8 p.m. on election day.

A 24-hour drop box is in the Gresham Library parking lot, 385 N.W. Miller Ave. Ballots also can be dropped off at the Fairview-Columbia Library, 1520 N.E. Village St., Fairview, and at the Troutdale Library, 2451 S.W. Cherry Park Road, from noon to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Clackamas County voters casting ballots on whether Damascus should disincorparate can drop ballots off at Damascus City Hall, 19920 S.E. Highway 212, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day.
