TriMet appointed Gresham resident Travis Stovall to its board of directors to represent East County, the agency announced Friday, Feb. 17.
Stovall is executive director for the East Metro Economic Alliance and has served as president of the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce for the past six years. He owns a management and consulting company, the Stovall Group, in Gresham.
Stovall replaces Lynn Lehrbach, who has served since October 2010. Stovall will begin his term next week.
TriMet General Manager Neil McFarlane said Stovall's broad business and financial experience will be critical as the agency tries to close its $17 million shortfall.
