Police search for suspects in gang-related shooting
Gresham Police are continuing to investigate a shooting in front of a 7-Eleven at 188th Avenue and East Burnside Street in the early hours of Saturday, Feb. 18, that police believe is gang-related.
At 1:44 a.m. Saturday, Eduardo Espinoza-Hernandez, 19, of Gresham, was shot by a still-unknown shooter who drove by and shot him in the shin with a handgun, said Sgt. Claudio Grandjean, Gresham Police Department spokesman.
Espinoza-Hernandez was treated at the hospital for a non-life-threatening injury and released. Nobody else was injured.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from an argument that started at Pueblo, a dance club up the road. The victim left the club and was grabbing a snack at 7-Eleven, Grandjean said, where he was shot.
