Gresham police rescue man held captive for days


Police received tip man was being held

The Gresham Police Department report that at about 12:10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14 in the 700 block of Southeast 193rd Boulevard, a police tactical team rescued a man who had been held against his will in a Gresham apartment for several days. The man is not seriously injured and is working with investigators. Four people were arrested at the scene, but police have not given out more details.

The case began, according to a police department press release, when police received a tip that the man was being held. Investigators believed the tip to be credible, and used the SWAT team was activated because of the possibility that one of the suspects was armed.
