Police need the publics help to identify whos responsible for injuring Troutdale resident Tessie McQueen and her 14-year-old daughter in a hit-and-run Wednesday evening on Highway 224 near 82nd Drive in Clackamas.
On Feb. 19 at approximately 7:23 p.m., McQueen, 43, was struck from behind when her 2007 Lincoln four-door was in the left lane on 224 behind other traffic just east of 82nd intersection waiting for a red light. The other vehicle then fled westbound over Interstate 205 and was last seen by a witness driving westbound on Southeast Roots Road west of the freeway.
The suspect vehicle is described as a 1980s or 1990s Chevrolet Suburban, two-tone gray with a red pinstripe, displaying a regular Oregon license plate with a tree decal and unknown letters. Police believe this vehicle would have right-front damage.
McQueen and her daughter were transported by ambulance to Milwaukie Providence Hospital with minor injuries. They were using safety restraints.
Information indicates there were witnesses at nearby gas stations and the 7-Eleven store, as well as other drivers who have not spoken to Oregon State Police.
OSP was also assisted at the scene by personnel from the Clackamas County Sheriffs Office and Clackamas Fire District No. 1.
